Tekker90's mission is to provide real pathways and unforgettable experiences for aspiring athletes — blending competition, exposure, and community in one place.
What We Do
Founded in Houston, Tekker90 set out to elevate the local soccer scene through high-level tournaments and prize-driven competitions. After hosting multiple successful events, we’ve expanded into college recruiting — creating combines and showcases that connect aspiring athletes with real next-level opportunities.
Our Why
Tekker90 was founded by a player shaped by Houston’s soccer scene and the highest levels of competition in the US. We’ve seen too many skilled athletes go unnoticed—not from lack of talent, but lack of opportunity.
Our mission is to change that by restoring the culture, creating real pathways, and bringing purpose back to the game.

Founder
Luis Lugo is a professional soccer player for Carolina Core FC with a deep-rooted journey through all levels of youth soccer. He developed through Houston Dynamo Academy (U14-U20) and played U16 and U17 with Albion’s ECNL and USL Academy program, to compete with his community at Tompkins High School, where he became a standout player. His career also includes playing NCAA Division 1 soccer at Florida Gulf Coast University. Now competing at a high level, his mission is to unite the growing soccer community in the U.S. Through Tekker90, the mission is to patch the gaps of the Soccer system and create a true platform where players can express their talents, compete at the highest level, and get scouted for the next step in their careers
Chief Marketing Officer
Jovan Prado is current ECNL coach at Albion, where he shares his wealth of experience with the next generation of soccer players. He spent four years at Memphis University playing at the NCAA Division 1 level, before finishing his collegiate career with one year at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). In his final season at LMU, he helped lead the team to the Elite 8. Jovan developed his skills from U9-U18 at Albion, later playing with U23 Royals in USL 2. He also had a standout high school career at Tompkins High School.
Our Community
Luis Lugo and Jovan Prado’s paths crossed through their shared soccer community at Tompkins High School. Despite Jovan being four years older, the community was grand enough to unite them. They both grew up playing in the same parks, training fields, and stadiums with their greater community in Houston. Those moments on the field allowed for the growth of the soccer community here in the Houston area. Now, they’re committed to giving back to that community and continuing add members to the growing soccer community. Through Tekker90, they aim to provide a platform where young athletes can develop, compete, and get scouted, just as they did.
