What We Do

Founded in Houston, Tekker90 began by elevating the local soccer community through high-level tournaments and competitive events. Today, we’ve expanded into athlete development and college recruiting, offering showcases, training programs, recruiting services, and educational resources designed to help players reach the next level.

Tekker90 was founded by a player who experienced the recruiting journey firsthand. We witnessed talented athletes miss opportunities, not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked exposure, guidance, and access to the right network.

Our mission is to bridge those gaps by creating opportunities, building meaningful connections, and helping every committed athlete maximize their potential.

Our Community

Every event, training session, and showcase is designed to create an environment where athletes can compete, grow, and pursue their goals alongside others who share the same commitment.

Meet Our Founder

Luis Lugo is the founder of Tekker90 and a former professional soccer player for Carolina Core FC in MLS NEXT Pro. He also competed at the NCAA Division I level with Florida Gulf Coast University after developing through the Houston Dynamo Academy and becoming a standout player at Tompkins High School in Houston.

Having experienced every stage of the player pathway firsthand, Luis founded Tekker90 to create the opportunities he believes every ambitious athlete deserves. His vision is to build a platform that combines elite competition, meaningful exposure, and trusted guidance to help players pursue college and professional opportunities while strengthening the soccer community along the way.

Technical Director

Coach Daniel Espinoza brings over 7 years of coaching experience across every level of the game, from elementary and high school programs to ECNL and collegiate development.
As a former collegiate athlete, Daniel competed at the NCAA Division I level at the University of Memphis and continued his playing career at the University of St. Thomas, where he competed at the Division III level.
Throughout his coaching career, Daniel has trained more than 200 athletes, helped place over 30 players into college soccer programs, and contributed to the development of 3 professional players.
Known for his bilingual communication, high standards, and player-first approach, Coach Daniel is committed to helping athletes maximize their potential both on and off the field.
